DealDash Tips: Don’t Forget to Bid!

DealDash

Have you ever seen an item on DealDash and thought “I gotta have that!” but then you forget to come back and bid on the item? That is so frustrating! Here are some tips from DealDash to prevent that from happening again.

Picture it, you are browsing around on DealDash and see the perfect item for your home, family, or friend. You think to yourself “I’ll come back later when the bidding is open on this item. Then you walk away and forget about the item. Later you think “Oh no!! I missed that auction!!” I can’t even tell you how many times that has happened to me over the years. It’s a really frustrating experience that doesn’t have to happen to you again! DealDash has implemented a few handy ways that you can prevent this from happening again.

Alerts for the Future

If you have been browsing for something special in an upcoming auction and you spot the item of your dreams it would be a shame to miss out on it. However, if the item isn’t scheduled yet, then you have run into a pickle since you can’t set a BidBuddy for an item that doesn’t have a scheduled start time.

No problem, ladies and gentlemen! DealDash has something called “Alerts” that you can set for the future. You can set an alert for anything in the DealDash product catalog that there isn’t currently an auction scheduled to start soon. Search for anything that you would like or need, and click on the picture when it comes up. If there isn’t an auction scheduled for that item in the near future you will see a little button that says “Alert Me”. Just click that button and DealDash will send you an email when they have scheduled an auction that that item, and then again when it is about to start. I have set alerts for a few things over the years that I ended up with such as my “no touch” stainless garbage can and my automatic cat box. I love the alerts feature because I have a terrible memory!

Bookmarking for the Present

Bookmarking is more for when you are browsing the auctions for the next few hours. If you are on the main page of DealDash you can look ahead for the next 24 hours or so. Bookmarking is so you can remember where an auction is that is starting soon so you don’t need to search for it again. You can bookmark any auctions that you see that have a starting time. If you’re not sure if you want to book a BidBuddy for a particular auction or not, then bookmarking is your next best plan. Simply click the star in the upper right corner, and the auction will be moved to your home page where the active auctions are.

Low Retail or High Retail Auctions on DealDash

When shopping on DealDash.com, do you look for low-retail or high-retail auctions?

Let’s look at some of the reasons we might choose low-retail auctions over playing high-retail auctions instead.

Low-Retail Auctions

  • Low-retail auctions are less risky. Therefore, shoppers on tight budget might be better off competing in these auctions. If we bid in low-retail auctions we probably will not need to use nearly as many bids and we will be far less likely to lose money. If we do not win, all we have to do is Buy-It-Now and get all our bids back free.
  • Low-retail auctions might not be as popular as the high-retail auctions and, therefore, might be more likely to have less competition and be easier to win.

High-Retail Auctions

  • High-retail auctions are more risky. If we bid in high-retail auctions, we would most likely have to use a lot more bids and we might not be able to afford to purchase the product if we lose. In that case, if we lose the auction, we would also lose all of our bids.
  • High-retail auctions might also be more popular and have stronger competition. Wealthy players, who can afford to purchase several large packages of bids, are more likely to shop for the high-dollar items.

Bottom line: Before bidding in an auction, we should first look at our budget and number of bids we have, check the retail value of the products, look at the competition and then decide.

BidBuddy is #1 in Your Arsenal

The BidBuddy is your absolute best bet to get a win on DealDash. The reason for this is the BidBuddy never needs to take a break. BidBuddy doesn’t need a snack or a bathroom break, he doesn’t get tired, and he will relentlessly bid until he has no more bids to place.

Luckily, the BidBuddy is ready for you on every single auction that’s held on DealDash. Can you believe that the BidBuddy is free for everyone to use? Not only that, the BidBuddy is easy to use and only takes a moment to get set up. Here are the directions:

  1. Choose an auction, any auctions
  2. Find the box in the auction that says “Book a BidBuddy” that’s in the middle of the page
  3. Type in the number of bids as you are willing to spend on this one auction
  4. Hit Enter

After that, there is nothing more to do. You can cancel the BidBuddy or add more bids anytime that you would like.

Go Wild and Crazy

Do you ever find yourself stuck in a bit of a rut while you are bidding? Well, maybe it’s time to do some different things. Go bid in a different category, bid on something that you would never have tried to bid on before, or even throw in some bids on a huge bid pack! There are lots of things that you can do to change things up and make them a little wild compared to how you usually bid.

Celebrate Nine Years of DealDash with Awesome Promotions & Savings

It’s hard to believe this amazing penny auction website is now celebrating nine years! I’ve been bidding on DealDash for two-and-half-years now and have really come to love all the amazing things about it. DealDash is pretty excited, too, and is offering bidders some unique opportunities to maximize wins and savings.

Daily Winning Limit Promotion

With this promotion, bidders can win up to five items per day. This is exciting news as it creates less competition once other bidders reach their limit of five items won each day.

Time as Highest Bidder 3x Faster

Now instead of earning up to 10 seconds for each bid you place, you will earn up to 30 bids for each bid you place. This helps your Time as Highest Bidder clock fill up faster—and once that clock hits its mark, you reach the next level and earn more free bids!

Great Prices on Bid Packs

Today bids are just 13 cents each and that’s a great price! Who knows what tomorrow’s price will be? But today, it’s an awesome bargain. Stock up on bid packs while the price is low.

Could it get any Better?

If there’s a way to make it better and more worthwhile than ever to bid, DealDash will find a way. This celebratory week may bring more promotions so stay tuned and happy bidding!

Happy 9th Anniversary, DealDash!
