Awesome Kitchen Items

Did you see the awesome kitchen items DealDash.com now has up for auction? I decided to check them out and I found some items I really like.

Let’s take a look at some of these auctions.

Honey Pot

Did you know honey is one of the healthiest sweeteners we can use?

The honey pot caught my eyes because my brother John went into bee keeping as a hobby during his retirement. I often buy honey, but I never had a honey pot. This honey pot with a BIN of $195 is 3.5 inches in diameter and 5 inches in height and it would great on my table.

So far, my brother John has about 100 quart jars of honey that he already put up, and I bought one from him for half the cost I would pay in the store. One of the biggest challenges he has is keeping his bees alive during the harsh Minnesota winters. This year, he’s going to put them in a heated garage before he takes his camper south for the winter. John is also going to leave plenty of honey behind for the bees to eat so they can thrive and survive. I learned there’s a lot more to beekeeping than I realized.

Some of the best deals previous winners received on this honey pot so far are:

  • Sept. 20, this honey pot sold at 9 cents and the winner paid a total of only 84 cents including the cost of the 4 bids placed;
  • Sept. 12, this honey pot sold at 2 cents and the winner paid a total of 22 cents including the cost of the 1 bid placed;
  • Sept. 4, this honey pot sold at 2 cents and the winner paid a total of 21 cents including the cost of the 1 bid placed; and
  • Sept. 10, this honey pot sold at 15 cents and the winner paid a total of 55 cents including the cost of the 2 bids placed.

Several other shoppers won this honey pot for less than $10. In fact, I decided to shop for it, myself.

Food Dehydrator

I’ve always wanted to get a food dehydrator, but never did.

This food dehydrator has a BIN of $310 and it opens up a whole new world of options. As the DealDash description says, “Dehydrated foods are a great alternative to addictive cookies and chips.” This dehydrator locks in nutritional value without using sugar or oil and it keeps food fresher much longer. By using a dehydrator, we can buy our produce at reduced prices when they are in season and then store them away for later. It’s also a great way to save space. Then when we are ready to eat, all we have to do is add water to rehydrate the food.  It can be used to dehydrate strawberries, bananas and even orange slices.

Some of the best deals shoppers have received so far are:

  • Sept. 23, this food dehydrator sold at 20 cents and the winner paid a total of 50 cents including the cost of the 2 bids placed;
  • Sept. 20, this food dehydrator sold at $6.69 and the winner paid a total of   $14.94 including the cost of the58 bids placed; and
  • Sept. 18, this food dehydrator sold at $7.72 and the winner paid a total of $20.12 including the cost of the 62 bids placed.

I will be keeping my eyes on this item. It’s about time I get what I’ve wanted for the last 30 years, so I’ll see you in the auctions.

Shop for Cold Weather

Did you see the new jackets DealDash.com has up for auction?

Cold winter weather will soon be here so it might be a good idea to start preparing for it now.

I learned the hard way that I should have dressed more warmly when I went on a long train ride. On my return trip I came home with a nasty head cold because the train was already a little too chilly. You do not want that to happen to you.

Let’s take a look at some of the coats and/or jackets that DealDash now has to offer.

Women’s Puffer Jacket

Did you see the beautiful dark peacock puffer jacket?  This quilted design jacket features an attached hood with adjustable draw cord and elastic binding on cuffs and slip-in hand pockets. No doubt this jacket could keep a person nice and warm on pretty cold days.

The jacket has a BIN of $165 and a couple of the best deals past winner received so far are:

  • Sept. 22, this jacket sold at 85 cents and the winner paid a total of $5.08 including the cost of the 25 bids placed, and
  • Sept. 20, this jacket sold at $2.05 and the winner paid a total of $12.82 including the cost of the 59 bids placed.

Who knows we could be the next shopper to win a great deal.

Men’s Sweater Sleeves and Puffer Jacket

Now is the time to shop for this men’s jacket with sweater sleeves and puffer vest because there are only seven of them left. It looks like the perfect jacket for fall.

This jacket has a BIN of $150.

Special features of this quilted vest jacket with full zip closure include sweater sleeves with ribbed cuffs, an attached hood and it is wind resistant.

Men’s Parka Polar Jacket

This men’s parka polar jacket has a BIN of $299 and it’s really made to keep a person warm in cold weather. This jacket is made of 100 percent polyester and has soft fleece and smooth taffeta lining. It has a zip front with snap placket and a fixed hood. It includes a zip chest pocket and patch hand pockets with snap flap closures. It also has stretchy rib-knit cuffs with an inner draw cord waist.

Some of the best bargains past winners received so far are:

  • Sept. 22, this jacket sold at 7 cents and the winner paid a total of 61 cents including the cost of the 3 bids placed;
  • Sept. 23, this jacket sold at 13 cents and the winner paid a total of $1.26 including the cost of the 6 bids placed; and
  • Sept. 21, this jacket sold at 26 cents and the winner paid a total of $1.66 including the cost of the 7 bids placed.

Even if we went shopping in a discount store, we would not be able to get bargains like the ones listed above. Many other winners received amazing bargains on this jacket, too.

Going Going Gone

That’s what happens to the auction products included in the “Inventory Liquidation Week” on DealDash.com. These items will soon be all gone. Therefore, if we want to shop for them, now is the time to do it.

All of products designated for inventory clearance are marked with a round blue circle with a box in the middle. They also have a yellow and black stripe across the top and bottom of the auction. It is sad to see some auction items eliminated. At the same time, it is exciting to see more brand new items come up for auction.

But before some items sell out that we may never see again, let’s take a look at more of these items that are now designated for liquidation.

Braided Sun Hat

Do you like hats? I do. In fact, I love hats and always have because hats can serve many purposes. They can help us look more dressed up or they can help us cover up thinning hair when we get older. This braided sun hat, with a circumference of 22.5 inches and a brim of 3.5 inches will simply serve to protect us from getting burned from too much sun.

So far, it appears past winners really like this pretty braided sun hat. After 54 customer reviews, this sun hat received an overall rating of 4.88 out of a possible 5.0 which is pretty good.

This braided sun hat has a BIN of $189.00. However, if we compare the BIN to what we might pay to win, we will be pleasantly surprised. So far, some of the best deals past winners received are:

  • Aug. 23, this braided sun hat sold at 71 cents and the winner paid a total of $4.71 including the cost of the 20 bids placed;
  • Aug. 22, this braided sun hat sold at 88 cents and the winner paid a total of $6.22 including the cost of the 30 bids placed; and
  • Aug. 22, this braided sun hat sold at 98 cents and the winner paid a total of $5.54 including the cost of the 27 bids placed.

All of the above wins represent a pretty good savings that we would most likely never find anywhere else.

Small bag (purse)

At first sight, when I saw this bag, I thought it was a baby bib. I was so surprised to see that this is actually a small bag that measures 7.5-inches high and 8.5-inches wide so it would make a great purse for your daughter or granddaughter.

In fact, one of the former winners wrote in her review, “Gave this to my granddaughter for her birthday. She takes it everywhere. It is so well made.”  Evidently, many other former winners agree with this. So far, out of 82 customer reviews, this bag, which measures, received an overall rating of 4.93 out of a possible 5.0 and that’s a very high rating.

Some of the best deals previous winners received so far are:

  • Aug. 23, this small bag sold at 36 cents and the winner paid a total of $2.36 including the cost of the 10 bids placed;
  • Aug. 23 again, this small bag sold at $1.88 and the winner paid a total of $4.68 including the cost of the 14 bids placed; and
  • Aug. 23 again, this small bag sold at 25 cents and the winner paid a total of $2.25 including the 10 bids placed.

We can see from the fantastic deals previous winners won that this may be one auction that could be fairly easy to win.

The bottom line

Many other great items will soon be gone. Now may be the last opportunity to win them, so I’ll see you in the auctions!
