Emergency Food Shopping

Did you see the Emergency Food Shopping auctions on DealDash.com? This is a perfect time for DealDash to have auctions like this. After all, food is definitely something we all have to have to survive.

Considering what we hear on the news about a possible food shortage in the near future, this is definitely an auction I will try to win. Even if we do not experience a major food shortage due to inflation, we can always use an emergency food supply in case of inclement weather conditions such as tornadoes, hurricanes and snow blizzards. Therefore, let’s take a close look at this bucket that contains 52 servings of Emergency Food/Freeze-dried Prepper Pack.

New food bucket

This bucket of food with a BIN of $59 has a shelf life of 25 years and the food is safely sealed in Mylar pouches. Each bucket has “grab-and-go handles for easy transport and includes:

  • Creamy Pasta and Vegetable Rotini (4 servings)
  • Savory Stroganoff (4 servings)
  • Tomato Basil Soup with Pasta (4 servings)
  • Southwest Beans and Rice (4 servings)
  • Brown Sugar and Maple Multi-Grain (4 servings)
  • Apple Cinnamon Cereal (4 servings)
  • Orange Delight Drink Mix (16 servings)
  • Whey Milk Alternative (12 servings)

As of this writing, the first Emergency Food bucket has been scheduled to go up for auction in 97 hours, so it should show up about Wednesday or Thursday, Nov. 30 or Dec. 1.

Some freeze dried camping and backpacking food will also be coming up for auction in the near future, but it has not yet been scheduled.

Freeze dried camping and backpacking foods

Some Freeze-Dried Camping and/or Backpacking Food with a BIN of $85 are not yet scheduled but it will be listed again in the near future.  So far, after 3 customer reviews, these Chili Mac and Beef meals have received an overall rating of 5.0 out of a possible 5.0 and nothing can receive a higher rating than that.

These meals have a 30-year shelf life, so it could make a great addition to our emergency food supply. It consists of 6 pouches and each pouch contains two servings of spicy chili sauce with real beef, macaroni noodles, onions and beans. These meals contain no artificial flavors, colors or preservatives. The Freeze dried process locks in the nutrients and flavor. These meals are also easy to prepare. We simply have to add water and we can have a hot meal in less than 10 minutes with no cleanup required because we can eat it straight from the pouch.

Although these meals are mostly used for camping, hunting and backpacking, they can be used anytime we need a delicious meal in a hurry.

The bottom line

Because of the difficult times in which we are living, emergency food supplies are becoming more important. Everyone should plan early and adopt the mindset of the Boy Scouts – Be Prepared.

Emergency Food Supply auctions on DealDash.com are an excellent place to start planning for food shortages. I feel certain they will be very popular auctions so it might be a good idea to load up on bid packs now and “be prepared” for some strong, but fun, competition.

New Shopping Strategies

Perhaps it’s time for us to develop some new winning strategies on DealDash.com. Our old winning strategies might not work very well with the changes DealDash has made over the last several years.

I’ve been shopping on DealDash for more than 10 years, and DealDash made a lot of changes over the years. That is most likely the main reason DealDash is still here. They have learned the art of constantly improving and moving forward with the times.

Based on some articles and statistics I’ve read, many new companies go under during the first three years. To be successful and survive all new companies must find a way to thrive during those first three crucial years, and DealDash did that, but they did not stop there. They constantly look for new ways to keep us happy because happy customers are loyal customers.

So what does that have to do with us? To be successful shoppers and continue to win our share of auctions we must also make a few changes. A good place to start is by taking another look at our old winning strategies. Perhaps we need to develop some new ones.

The right strategy can make you a winner.

Real examples

Old Strategy No. 1: Wait until an auction is about to block all new bidders and place our first bid at the last possible moment when the auction reaches $4.99 or $5.00. By using this strategy, we watched other shoppers use up most of their bids before the auction reached $5.00. By saving the bulk of our bids until the last minute we were often able to outlast other bidders and win the auction.

Why our old strategy no longer works: DealDash might no longer block all new bidders at $5.00. Sometimes DealDash blocks all new bidders when the auction reaches $1.50 or another amount less than $5.00. Therefore, if we wait until the auction reaches $5.00 we could already be blocked and miss out on our opportunity to participate in the auction period.

New Strategy No. 1: To ensure we will not get blocked from competing in an auction we must make sure we get our first bid in early instead of waiting until the last minute. Once we are in, we could always come back later (unless we see the fist icon).

Old Strategy No. 2: Place one bid early and then wait until the auction gets down to the last few shoppers before we come back and place the bulk of our bids. By using this strategy, we were not blocked from competing in the auction and we could wait until the auction got down to the last few shoppers before we placed the bulk of our bids. By doing this, we could often outbid all other shoppers.

Why our old strategy might no longer work: If the auction shows a fist icon, this will no longer work. If the auction shows a fist, we cannot jump in and out of an auction whenever we want. Once these auctions reach the designated limit no other bidders are allowed back in — even if we placed some bids earlier. Once we’re out, we’re out and cannot get back in.

New Strategy No. 2: If the auction shows a fist icon we must place the bulk of our bids shortly before the cutoff designated to block all new bidders. Then we must make sure we don’t run out of bids. As long as we do not run out of bids, we can add more bids.  However, once we run out of bids or leave the auction, we cannot get back in. Therefore, our new strategy is to ensure we never run out of bids.

The bottom line

Life is all about change, folks – out with the old and in with the new. As DealDash implements new changes to be a successful company, we must also implement new shopping strategies to be successful shoppers.

Hear the Sound of Christmas

What better way is there to hear the sound of Christmas music wherever you go than with the help of a portable wireless speaker?

Let’s check out a couple wireless speakers that DealDash.com has to offer this holiday season.

Attention: The holidays are almost here!

Mini speaker, mighty sound

That’s right. The DealDash description says, “Mini in size but mighty in sound.” It was referring to the awesome stereo sound of a wireless Bluetooth speaker.

One is great, but if we pair it with two that’s even better. The good news is that these speakers come up for auction frequently enough that we could do just that. All we have to do is wait 30 days before we can shop for another one.

The size of this mini speaker (that can easily fit in the palm of your hand) measures 1.96 inches by 1.96 inches by 2.25 inches. We would simply use an app to connect this wireless speaker to our preferred device for our listening pleasure. It offers up to three hours play time and has a listening range of up to 10 meters.

This speaker has a BIN of $160 but several shoppers have already won it for much less. Some of the best deals in the last 30 days are:

  • Nov. 18, this mini speaker sold at 10 cents and the winner paid a total of 85 cents including the cost of the 4 bids placed;
  • Nov. 13, this mini speaker sold at 12 cents and the winner paid a total of only 43 cents including the cost of the 2 bids placed; and
  • Oct. 28, this mini speaker sold at 8 cents and the winner paid a total of 48 cents including the cost of the 2 bids placed.

These examples above are just some of the many bargains DealDash shoppers received. As of this writing, out of the last 64 times this mini speaker went up for auction, it sold at less than $15.00 59 times and it sold at less than $5.00 34 times. Not only did a lot of shoppers win a huge bargain, but this also tells me this is a fairly easy auction to win.

Crystal portable speaker

Shoppers who are looking for a bigger speaker with an even bigger sound, perhaps the Crystal Portable Wireless Speaker with a high-tech Lithium-ion rechargeable battery is the answer. It’s as easy as our smartphone to operate.

This speaker measures 9.75 inches long by 3.25 inches wide by 4.25 inches tall. It’s important to note that the USB charging cable is included but the USB power adapter is not included.

This speaker has a BIN of $339 but all three of the last three winners listed below got it for much less:

  • Oct. 29, this auction sold at $2.09 and the winner paid a total of $12.29 including the cost of the 51 bids placed;
  • Oct. 26, this Crystal Portable Speaker sold at $17.83 and the winner paid a total of $117.71 including the cost of the 544 bids placed’
  • Oct. 24, this speaker sold at $13.31 and the winner paid a total of $63.53 including the cost of the 301 bids placed.

As we can see, compared to the BIN, all of these winners got it at bargain prices.

The bottom line

If you have a family member who appreciates the sound of music, perhaps shopping for a speaker might make an awesome gift. What better place could you shop for a great bargain than on DealDash.com?

Gifts That Sparkle

We celebrate Thanksgiving this Thursday, and Christmas is just around the corner.

If we have not started our Christmas shopping yet, it’s not too late to find some gifts that sparkle on DealDash.com.

Give a gift that sparkles for the holidays!

I recently wrote about a pendant, ring and bracelet, but DealDash has even more than that to please a significant other in our life. How about a sparkling sunburst brooch and some dazzling earrings?

Floral sunburst brooch

The Floral Sunburst Brooch has a BIN of $330.00.  It immediately caught my attention because it is so beautifully designed with a frame of faux pearls and a cubic zirconia crystal at the center. It not only sparkles, but it dazzles, too.

After receiving 20 customer reviews, this Floral Sunburst Brooch has received an overall high rating of 4.91 out of a possible 5.0 and that says a lot. In other words, customers simply love it.

The best part is that some previous customers won this lovely brooch at a bargain price, too. So far, out of the last seven auctions the best deals were:

  • Nov. 14, this Floral Sunburst Brooch auction sold at $1.64 and the winner paid a total of $5.24 including the cost of the 18 bids placed;
  • Nov. 13, this auction sold at $1.32 and the winner paid a total of $9.53 including the cost of the 46 bids placed.
  • Nov. 17, this brooch auction sold at $2.10 and the winner paid a total of $15.30 including the cost of the 66 bids placed.

Now that’s what I call easy wins and awesome deals!

Drop fashion earrings

When I saw these 18K Rose Gold Plated Delicate Drop Fashion Earrings, I was in awe and loved them so much I was tempted to go shopping for myself. These earrings have a BIN of $115.00.  The will be sure to sparkle and dazzle, too, and will perfectly enhance any holiday dress or formal.

Each earring contains six clear stones in the shape of baguette. The rose tint comes from the brass metal holding the stones. The earrings are 12 mm long, 14 mm wide and 33 mm in height. These earrings for pierced ears also come with a lovely clasp that will hold them in place.

DealDash has at least two other styles of sparkling earrings with a BIN of $115 that will be sure to enhance our overall look at special holiday parties.

If we don’t wait to the last minute to do our holiday shopping on DealDash, we could be the first customers to win these awesome new products. I’ll see you there. Ready, set, go!
