Smart DealDash shoppers know some auctions that sell early one week will sell high the next week. They know that trends often change so they check the featured wins on a daily basis. 

They also check to see how many bids previous winners placed to win an auction. By doing the math, smart DealDash shoppers usually know ahead of time how many bids they will need to place in each auction to have the best opportunity to win.

Smart shoppers know their competition

Smart shoppers become familiar with the screen names of the most high-powered shoppers. Even new shoppers can easily identify who they are. We can find out several different ways and make our own list of competitors to avoid.

We can open several high-dollar auctions and look for repeat screen names. If the same screen name won more than one high-dollar auction in the last 30 days they are most likely a pretty serious and tough competitor. We can also look at the “Winners’ List” and write down the screen names of everyone who won two or more auctions in the last 6 hours. Doing this is a fast and easy way to know our competition.

What’s the biggest problem with shopping on DealDash.com?  It’s so much fun to shop here that after we have already won everything we need or want, we still do not want to stop.

The 14-inch round pizza or baking stone for our over or grill has a BIN of $96 and it comes in a set of two. What a great deal. We could give one away as a gift and still keep one for ourselves.  

I’ve never used a pizza stone myself. However, based on the comments from previous DealDash winners, they are pretty happy with it. One winning customer wrote, “I use them in my restaurant, work perfectly and are used all day everyday.” Another customer wrote, “Our daughter was so excited we gave this to her for Christmas. They come in a variety of different colored bands, and the dials come in several different dial styles and patterns, too.

After 20 reviews, the DealDash watch with the blue leather band received an overall rating of 4.97 out of a possible 5.0.

Are you getting the most out of DealDash.com? Other than winning fantastic deals when shopping, DealDash also offers many other opportunities to its customers. 

Perhaps many shoppers simply open the DealDash Home Page and immediately start placing bids in various auctions without looking at anything else. Shoppers who do that could be missing out on several customer advantages that DealDash has to offer. 

Let me give you some examples.

Your chance for free bids

DealDash offers several free bid opportunities. Do you know about all of them? Sometimes we may have to go looking for them.

For instance, if we scroll down to the bottom of the Home Page, we will see a new article that was posted January 21, 2024, titled “It’s time for our Customer Spotlight Challenge.” Did you read it? I did. 

I learned all I had to do to get a free 200 bid pack was to purchase one bid pack within the last seven days and answer the question of the week. This week’s question was, “What would be your dream feature to add to our (the DealDash) platform?” After doing a little creative thinking I sent my response to the support team at: [email protected]. Only moments later, my 200 free bids were added to my account.

Another way we can receive free bids is by shopping on DealDash each and every day without missing a day. Every day we shop on DealDash, we can earn some free bids. The more consecutive days we shop without taking a break, the more free bids we win, all the way up to 30 bids. 

Once we work our way up to 30 free bids per day, and place all 30 bids each day, we will continue to receive 30 free bids per day as long as we do not miss a day. If we miss a day, we will have to start all over again at zero and work our way back up to 30.  That means we have the opportunity to use our 30 free bids in any auction. If we win, we can still get all 30 bids back again the next day. However, if we only used 10 of our 30 free bids, we will only get 10 of our free bids back again. But if we only use our free bids, we will never lose.

Of course, another way we win free bids is by earning time on the clock for every bid we place. When our green time-line at the bottom right of our computer screen moves all the way to the right, we will win more free bids.

Have you ever shopped for the weighted blanket on DealDash.com?  

I’m shopping for one now, and as of this writing, many more will be coming up for auction soon. I especially like the auctions that block all new bidders at 50 cents instead of $5.00. That could mean a  lot less competition. However, all it takes are two determined shoppers to keep it going for a long time, so we have to know when to get out of one auction and get into another one. Shopping in the right auction at the right time can make all the difference between losing or winning.

This gray weighted blanket has a BIN of $315 and measures 48-inches by 72-inches and weighs 16.3-pounds. 

I heard about weighted blankets but I never before looked into them. It appears that sleeping with a weighted blanket can have many benefits. 

According to the DealDash auction description, it is designed to promote a sense of deep relaxation to help us enjoy a “full restful and restorative night’s sleep.” It has two weighted layers: “two made from poly fiber and the last from 0.8mm glass beads.” It also comes with a “plush velvet quilt cover” with a “silky, soft feeling.” The inner blanket is made of 100 percent soft, durable cotton with 200TC. It also  has an easy-access zipper and 8 ties for easy attachment to the quilt cover so the inner blanket remains in place. The inner blanket should be spot-cleaned only, but the quilt cover is machine washable.

The auction description says, “All three weighted layers are engineered to mimic the feeling of being hugged or tucked in, providing you with an overarching feeling of security. This comfortable pressure offers you an immediate sense of calm, and helps you enter a relaxed state so you can gently drift off to sleep.” That sounds about right to me. 

When I was young, I remember that even on really hot nights, I piled on a lot of blankets because it made me feel more safe and secure.  However, because of the weight of t he blanket, it’s “not suitable for children.”                                                       

As of this writing, there are only 14 units of this auction left, and this weighted blanket is a fairly popular item. Therefore, if we want it, we better shop for it while we still can.  It’s not surprising that it is such a popular item. After 200 reviews by former winners, this weighted blanket received a high overall rating of 4.86 out of a possible 5.0. 

So far, the best deal anyone got on  this item was January 19, when it sold at $1.71 and the winner paid a total of $13.71 including the cost of the 60 bids placed.

A brief history of weighted blankets

Some of the earliest uses of weighted blankets dates back to 1999. According to my research, Tina Champagne, who was an occupational therapist, began using weighted blankets to help some mental-health patients. However, they were originally designed as an aid for Autism and other sensory disorders. Now some people use these weighted blankets to just get a good night’s sleep – especially people with symptoms of restless leg syndrome, fibromyalgia and anxiety. These blankets can help relieve stress for people with ASD and improve their ability to focus with the task at hand. 

Sometimes, during cold weather I’ve heard some adults with arthritis complain about feeling stiffness in their joints from the cold. My resources all say weighted blankets can be good for people with arthritis because it keeps the users warm during the night. This prevents stiffness in the joints because it helps the muscles to relax.

Researchers found that when a group of 26 young adults with no previous sleep problems used a weighted blanket at night, their bodies produced more melatonin than when sleeping with a conventional blanket. 

Weighted blankets tend to ease people into REM sleep and that is where dreams take place. According to the information I read, that’s good because studies show that dreams are good for us.

The bottom line

It might be a good idea to look up more information about benefits a weighted blanket offers so you know if it might be something you or a family member could use for a better night’s rest. If so, shop for one on DealDash while you still can. See you in the auctions!
