Hair Tips from DealDash

Taking good care of your hair can be difficult. Let DealDash give you some tips on hair.

This might sound a little crazy to some of you, but did you know that there’s more to hair care than just washing, conditioning, and drying? So much more. There’s curling, straightening, deep conditioning, and more. Let DealDash Tips give you some suggestions for taking better care of your hair so you can look and feel great.

Washing and conditioning are important, and there is a word that I would like to introduce you to – sulfates. Sulfates are the chemicals that are put into shampoo to make the bubbles when you wash your hair. These bubbles are really just for show, and totally un-needed, and can even be damaging to your hair, especially if you have damaged or otherwise fragile hair. When you go shopping for your new shampoo, try and find one that specifically says “sulfate free” on the front.

If you have medium to long hair, there’s a good chance that you use either a straightener, curling iron, or both. If you use these, it’s important that you use a heat protectant spray which you can buy at any big box store or pharmacy – maybe you could get a gift card on DealDash to use to purchase your spray! You also need your curling iron and flat iron to be of the best quality possible to not cause damage to your hair. DealDash actually has excellent quality curling irons, wands, flat irons, and hair dryers up for bid. You can find them in the Fashion, Health, & Beauty category, or you can do a search in the search box on the DealDash main auction page.

If you have a ladies’ pixie cut or a standard man’s hairstyle or a shaved head, you should consider cutting your hair at home. You can save a LOT of money by cutting your hair at home. I cut all three of my children’s hair at home – my husband won’t let me cut his, though! He spends $20 + tip every three weeks at the barber’s – what a waste! Imagine if he took both of the boys with him every time, that would be $60 + tip every three weeks, ridiculous! Instead, I cut the boys hair outside on the deck when it’s warm, or in the garage or the bathtub if it’s cold. Just be sure that you scoop most of the hair out of the tub when you’re done, otherwise it will clog your drain. I use a Whal hair clipper set that I got on DealDash for an amazing deal.
