Birthday Items for All on DealDash from the May 12th Blog

The theme of May 12th’s blog explored some gift ideas for special occasions on DealDash. The top tip of that blog was to remember that DealDash can make getting birthday presents for your friends and family easier. Here is a great tip from that blog:

“One of the great things about getting birthday presents on DealDash is that if you find something that you are 100% sure that the person will like, you can bid it up to the BIN (Buy It Now) price. If you don’t win the item, then you can BIN it for the regular price and DealDash will give you back all of your bids that you have spent on that auction.”

Gear Up for Camping & Hiking with DealDash

DealDash is gearing up for camping season. Are you? For avid campers like me and my family, DealDash is a great place to find everything you need to make camping a wonderful experience over the summer. Now is the time to find, bookmark and set alerts for all the camping gear you might need this summer.

While tents may not be a daily item offered on DealDash, they do come up for auction so when you find something you like, set those alerts to make sure you are notified by email when they are up for bids. Search for tent, cot tent and pop-up canopy to make sure you’ve got not only a place to sleep, but something to cover the picnic table as well!

How about a nice camper grill? My son loves his charcoal camper grill I won for him on DealDash. He uses it to grill burgers in summer and takes it with him when he goes ice fishing to make his coffee and breakfast.

Tons of tips have been given out over the years on this blog, but there are definitely some tips that we all should follow, no matter how experienced we might be. Here are some of those “golden” tips that we should all follow, from DealDash.

Have Bids at All Times

Let me tell you one thing, and that is it’s no fun to run out of bids in the middle of an auction. Imagine, you are bidding on an auction that you have been waiting and watching, and then finally pounced on. Only to realize that you only have a few bids, and the competition is still bidding away. You can always buy bids mid-auction, but the fact of the matter is that sometimes auctions can end very quickly. If it takes you 3 minutes to buy bids that sounds fast, but in reality, the auction could be over and done with by the time you get back. Be sure to have bids in your bid bank.

Be Familiar with the Auctions

If you are a newbie to DealDash, or if you just haven’t used DealDash for a while, be sure that you are familiar with how the auctions work. If you see an auction that you want to participate in but aren’t sure of how to bid or what the rules are, then that can become a problem for you. Setting Alerts and Bookmarks

Setting an alert could not be more simple. Just click the button that says “Alert me” and DealDash will send you an email when DealDash has scheduled an auction for this item. DealDash will alert you when the auction is starting within a couple of days, and then again when the auction is starting within a couple of hours.

You can use bookmarking if you see an auction that is coming up in a day or so. You’ll want to do this so you don’t forget it’s coming up. Just click the little star in the top corner, and it will deposit and pin the auction to the top of your DealDash home page.
