Tips for Timid Bidders on DealDash

As someone who is a bit timid in real life, I have no problem being bold on DealDash. However, I know this is not the case with everyone. Here are some tips for timid bidders on DealDash.

Being timid is not the best way to go on DealDash. Timid bidders don’t seem to win as many auctions, and bidders who are bold risk-takers are usually the big winners. This doesn’t mean that you have to completely change your bidding style, but you could tweak a few things here and there. Read on for some informative tips from DealDash.

Don’t Wait Too Long

If you are a timid bidder who tends to sit and wait for a long time in front of an auction before you actually bid on it, you might want to be a little quicker. There are a few reasons for this tip.

  • Firstly, if you wait too long to place a bid the auction might end before you even get started! I have seen hundreds of auctions end for less than .25, which equals 25 bids from various bidders.
  • Next, you might get locked out. Normally, people are locked out of bidding on auctions at $5, however, there are some days when it’s $3. You’ll know when you sign in and read the main page.
  • Finally, people tend to get very frustrated if they have been doing 1-on-1 bidding for a while and someone new jumps in at the end. When people get frustrated on DealDash they tend to bid more than they were originally planning on, because they don’t want you to win after they have put so many bids into the auction already.

Don’t Be Afraid to Bid Against Veteran Bidders

Being a timid or new bidder can be a bit daunting at times. When you are bidding in an auction you can see when everyone joined DealDash, and some of those dates go all the way back to 2009 when the site was founded. If your date says 2018, I could see why you might feel a bit intimidated. However, I would bid anyway, if I were you. Just because someone has been a long-time bidder doesn’t mean that they are always a big winner. They may or may not be a frequent bidder. If you are a newer bidder who bids a lot, then who knows, you could be even more experienced than they are!

There are lots of special days, from holidays to birthdays to anniversaries. DealDash can help make all of them special.

Mother’s and Father’s Day

These special days are approximately a month apart, so you can start thinking about them around the same time. There are lots of nice things that you can get on DealDash for Mom or Dad for these special days. No matter what your parents like, there are so many lovely choices on DealDash to pick from.

One of the great things about getting birthday presents on DealDash is that if you find something that you are 100% sure that the person will like, you can bid it up to the BIN (Buy It Now) price. If you don’t win the item, then you can BIN it for the regular price and DealDash will give you back all of your bids that you have spent on that auction.

As I mentioned, there are lots of holidays that happen each and every month. From New Year’s Day to Christmas, DealDash always has something special going on during the holidays. Some of the special things that go on include special sale bid prices, special promotions, and fun auctions. DealDash loves to celebrate, so be sure to check DealDash every time there is a holiday so you can see what is happening on that day.

DealDash Tips: Don’t Forget to Bid!

Have you ever seen an item on DealDash and thought “I gotta have that!” but then you forget to come back and bid on the item? That is so frustrating! Here are some tips from DealDash to prevent that from happening again.

Picture it, you are browsing around on DealDash and see the perfect item for your home, family, or friend. You think to yourself “I’ll come back later when the bidding is open on this item. Then you walk away and forget about the item. Later you think “Oh no!! I missed that auction!!” I can’t even tell you how many times that has happened to me over the years. It’s a really frustrating experience that doesn’t have to happen to you again! DealDash has implemented a few handy ways that you can prevent this from happening again.

Alerts for the Future

If you have been browsing for something special in an upcoming auction and you spot the item of your dreams it would be a shame to miss out on it. However, if the item isn’t scheduled yet, then you have run into a pickle since you can’t set a BidBuddy for an item that doesn’t have a scheduled start time.

No problem, ladies and gentlemen! DealDash has something called “Alerts” that you can set for the future. You can set an alert for anything in the DealDash product catalog that there isn’t currently an auction scheduled to start soon. Search for anything that you would like or need, and click on the picture when it comes up. If there isn’t an auction scheduled for that item in the near future you will see a little button that says “Alert Me”. Just click that button and DealDash will send you an email when they have scheduled an auction that that item, and then again when it is about to start. I have set alerts for a few things over the years that I ended up with such as my “no touch” stainless garbage can and my automatic cat box. I love the alerts feature because I have a terrible memory!

Bookmarking for the Present

Bookmarking is more for when you are browsing the auctions for the next few hours. If you are on the main page of DealDash you can look ahead for the next 24 hours or so. Bookmarking is so you can remember where an auction is that is starting soon so you don’t need to search for it again. You can bookmark any auctions that you see that have a starting time. If you’re not sure if you want to book a BidBuddy for a particular auction or not, then bookmarking is your next best plan. Simply click the star in the upper right corner, and the auction will be moved to your home page where the active auctions are.

  • Bathrobe. DealDash offers a spa-style bathrobe that features a velour exterior and an absorbent terry interior. These bathrobes are up for auction in both white and gray. This is another item that’s great for a man or a woman. They are comfortable, roomy, and extremely high-end.

If you have decided exactly what you want, then do a search with the search bar to see the different days and times that this particular item is up for bid. Choose the best time for you to bid in your DealDash auction. You can just load up your BidBuddy and have him bid for you, or you can choose a time where you can control the bids. It’s up to you! Personally, I set a BidBuddy and then check in on the auction now and then to see how it’s going. It’s up to you on DealDash, you’re in control!
