Tips to Conserve Your DealDash Bids

DealDash

All DealDash bidders have something in common. They want to conserve their bids! Read on for more information from DealDash Tips Blog.

Conserving bids on DealDash isn’t as difficult as you might think. You just have to pay close attention to the auctions that are going on, keep an eye on your bids, and be a little tricky. You accomplish all of these things, it just takes a little bit of practice. Here are some tips to accomplish your goal of conserving bids.

Only Bid on One Item at a Time

A very good way to conserve bids is to only bid on one auction at a time. If you are bidding on multiple auctions at once then you are using up twice as many bids in the same time period, or even more! Not only that, it’s fairly hard to pay close attention to more than one auction at a time. However, if you simply must participate in more than one auction at a time then be sure to use your BidBuddy.

The BidBuddy is a Must

Even if you are only bidding in one auction at a time, then the BidBuddy is still a very good idea to use. The BidBuddy will prevent you from using more bids than you need to, therefore conserving bids. The way that you can conserve bids by using the BidBuddy is simple. If you are doing single-bids then you might be double-bidding! The way the BidBuddy works is that it takes turns with the other BidBuddies, bidding in a round.

For example, it would be Bidder A, Bidder B, Bidder C, Bidder A, Bidder B, Bidder C. However, if you aren’t using the BidBuddy you might accidentally be bidding in-between the rounds so you are bidding more than your fellow bidders using the BidBuddy.

Pay Attention to Your Fellow Bidders

If you aren’t paying attention to the other bidders then you might be losing bids. By paying attention to your fellow bidders then you will be able to conserve bids by knowing their bidding style. If you find yourself bidding with the same people over and over again, pay attention! You will be able to determine if a bidder is more likely to bow out after the auction reaches a few dollars or if they are the type to bid until they reach the BIN (Buy It Now) price.

Set an Alert or Bookmark

Unlike some of the other items that DealDash carries such as jewelry, these tools don’t come up for auction every single day. This means that if you are interested in one of these or any other tools, then you will probably need to set an alert or a bookmark. This way you will know when the auction is coming up and you can plan accordingly. Don’t worry, alerts and bookmarks are easy to do, and don’t cost you any of your bids.

Setting an alert is super simple. First, search for the tool that you’re interested in bidding on. Then click the button that says “Alert me” and DealDash will send you an email when they have scheduled an auction for this tool. DealDash will alert you when the auction is starting within a couple of days, and then again when the auction is starting within a couple of hours. When you get the alert email from DealDash you can go see the auction page, and set a bookmark or put some bids into your BidBuddy.

After finding out that the tool you want is coming up for bid you’ll want to bookmark it. This will stick it to the top of your home page. You’ll want to do this so you don’t forget it’s coming up. Just click the little star in the top corner, and it will deposit and pin the auction to the top of your DealDash home page. After that, you can choose to add bids to your BidBuddy, or wait and bid on it manually. Your choice!

Tips to Rule the Roost on DealDash

DealDash

Ruling the roost means that you’re in control. So are you in control of the DealDash auctions that you’re bidding on?

Being in control of the auctions that you’re bidding on is important if you want to establish yourself as a strong bidder on DealDash. There are certain ways that you can be taken more seriously when you’re bidding. Here are some suggestions from the DealDash Tips Blog.

Bid Early and Often

Many people like to get their bids in early so they aren’t locked out when the auction hits the $5 No Jumper limit. However, many, many people seem to just put in one bid to save their place. Sure, putting in 1 bid to save your place is a good idea. However, an even better idea would be to stick around and keep bidding. This is especially true if there aren’t many people bidding in the auction. If you can establish yourself as a bidder who bids from the beginning and keeps on bidding until the end, then you will be well on your way to ruling the roost.

Let the Stompers Stomp

Stompers are those people who bid directly after you and cheat you out of your “clock time” that you are collecting to get free bids from DealDash. They are extremely annoying and tend to make people quite angry when they do this. I have seen the scenario play out time and time again – a few people will be bidding on an auction, using the BidBuddy so all bidders are getting their allotted clock time. Then in pops a stomper and starts bidding directly after every single person. Usually, one of the “fair” bidders will get upset and try to out-stomp the stomper. This results in both the stomper and the fair bidder to use up lots of bids, get frustrated, and leave the auction.

It makes a lot more sense to simply let your BidBuddy do it’s work and not interfere with the auction. The stomper typically stops stomping after a short while, because they are spending so many more bids than they would if they just used the BidBuddy. For example, if there are 10 bidders in the auction that were taking turns with their BidBuddies, the stomper is using 10 bids to 1 of the other bidder’s bids. So when the other bidders have used 10 bids, the stomper has used 100. This is why it’s a much better plan to just let them stomp, they will tire of it pretty quickly and move on.

Don’t Bid Right Away from the March 31st Blog

The theme of the March 31st blog was all about observing your competition on DealDash. The top tip of that blog was to be sure to stop and observe the auction before you jump right in bidding. You never know what’s going to happen in a DealDash auction, but you can save yourself some bids if you do a little observation first. Here is a great tip from that blog:

“ This way you can get a feel for how long people typically stay in an auction, how many people stop bidding by $1 or $2 or $5, and also start to get familiar with some people’s screen names.”

Remember, watching the auctions doesn’t cost you anything, and can save you some money and bids in the long run.

 from the March 25th Blog

The blog on March 25th was all about the different bundles available on DealDash. There are tons of different ones for all different types of people. From that blog written by Theresa:

“Don’t forget to check out new bundles and view them all by browsing categories (just under the banner on the main page) and choosing Bundles from the dropdown menu. ”

Choose the Right Sleeping Bag from the April 4th Blog

April 4th’s blog was filled with some ideas on freshening up your camping gear with auctions on DealDash. It’s important to get the correct sleeping bag for the weather you’re camping in. From the blog:

“This Coleman cool weather sleeping bag is made for camping temperatures between 30 and 50 degrees, which is perfect for a chilly (but not too cold) Spring overnight. If you would prefer something that can handle even colder weather, DealDash has those, too. Just click on this link here and you can check out the sleeping bags on DealDash.”

Pros & Cons of Exchanging for Bids from the April 5th Blog

The April 5th DealDash Tips article was all about the pros and cons of exchanging your wins for bids. There were many good points in this blog that was written by Barbara, but the takeaway of this blog for me was this:

“If I win a product that rarely goes up for auction, I most likely would not want to exchange it for bids.”

There are certain items on DealDash that just don’t come around too often – the one that sticks out in my mind is the LitterMaid automatic cat box. It comes up occasionally, but not often enough that I would ever think about exchanging it for bids if I was to win. Other things, like earrings, come up multiple times per day, and I have often exchanged them for bids.
