DealDash Tips For Using an Air Fryer

Eating fried food too often leads to many undesirable health problems such as clogged arteries, joint inflammation, high blood pressure, and obesity. How can you eat the foods that you love without the problems? An air fryer!

Air fryers, also known as oil-less fryers are relatively new on the market, and one of the first places that I saw them available was on DealDash. After doing some research on air fryers, I determined that even though the initial price is a little expensive the health benefits were worth the extra cost. Here are some tips from DealDash about air fryers.

How Do They Work?

Air fryers use something called Rapid Air Technology. This “hot air” can be used to cook any type of food that you normally cook in a deep fryer if you want it to taste delicious, or by baking it if you want it less delicious. This hot air technology works by circulating air to high degrees, up to around 400 degrees.

An air fryer’s cooking chamber radiates heat located very close to the food, cooking it more efficiently and thoroughly. The exhaust fan located above the cooking chamber helps to provide the required airflow from the underside. This allows the heated air to constantly pass through the food. Since the air is constantly circulating, every part of the food receives the same heating temperature.

What Can You Cook In an Air Fryer?

  • Steak – It takes roughly 9 to 10 minutes at 400ºF to cook a  1-inch thick steak to medium-rare
  • Homemade Fries – You can soak the potatoes ahead of time for at least 30 minutes OR you can blanch them for 4 minutes, dry them and have homemade fries in 25 minutes.
  • Fish – For every inch of fish (thickness), cook for 10 minutes on 400ºF.
  • BBQ Sauce coated chicken legs – Brush (any) BBQ sauce over the drumsticks and air fry for 20 minutes, that is 10 minutes at a pre-heated 200°C and then lowered to 150°C and roasted for another 10 minutes.
  • Any Veggies – Depending on the thickness you will need to air fry these 15-25 minutes. You’ll just have to open the air fryer and check on them at 15 minutes then every 5 minutes after.
  • Frozen Foods – You can cook just about any frozen foods in the air fryer as long as they fit into the basket. You can put them directly into the fryer when they’re frozen, but they will take a bit longer to cook.

So you see, you can cook just about anything that you like in the air fryer. This is such a wonderful way to save cooking time, reduce your fat/oil/calorie intake without sacrificing any flavor. When you cook foods in the air fryer they turn out crispy and delicious on the outside, and juicy on the inside. When you get an air fryer from DealDash you’re getting a great deal as well as doing something good for your health at the same time.

DealDash Tips for Buying Knives

Image result for kitchen knife

Having high-quality knives in your kitchen is a must if you cook often. Here are some tips on getting nice knives from DealDash.

Having a high-quality knife is extremely important for a few reasons. Good knives that are extremely sharp not only make clean cuts, they also protect you from injuring yourself. One of the main reasons people cut themselves when they are cooking is that they are using a dull knife. When you use a dull knife you are more likely to use a sawing motion to try to cut through the meat, and therefore more likely to slip and slice yourself.

Another way to prevent an injury while using your knives is to use the right knife for the job. When you use a knife that is too small or too big for the food that you are trying to cut it makes things awkward and can lead to the knife slipping and cutting your finger. Here is a short list of knives from DealDash and their uses.

  • Chef’s Knife – This knife is your everyday “go-to” knife. You use the Chef’s Knife for all of your basic preparation such as chopping, slicing and dicing, and mincing.
  • Utility Knife – The Utility Knife is very similar to the Chef’s Knife, but the blade is a bit slimmer. This is a very useful knife to have around for everyday jobs such as slicing the meat off of a rotisserie chicken.
  • Paring Knife – This little fella is a huge help in the kitchen with peeling off the skin of veggies, trimming, and slicing veggies up for a snack.
  • Bread Knife – I’m pretty sure you can guess what this one is for! It’s also great for slicing tomatoes without bruising them.
  • Santoku Knife – This knife is a hybrid between a Chef’s Knife and a meat cleaver. This knife is great for those difficult cuts of meat, slicing, and chopping.
  • Carving Knife – This knife’s main job is to carve large cuts of meat such as your Thanksgiving turkey or ham.
  • Steak Knife – Again, I’m pretty sure you can guess how these are used.

DealDash Coffee Tips

America loves coffee, and so does DealDash. There are so many ways to enjoy coffee. Here are a few…

Living in New England, everyone loves Dunkin’ Donuts. When I first moved here from North Carolina, I was shocked at how many Dunkin’s there are in and around New England. I once counted seven on a short drive to visit a friend who lived one town over from me. Seven. Now that’s crazy! If you love Dunkin’ as much as my fellow New Englanders, it’s a good thing that DealDash offers Dunkin’ Donuts gift cards. I have never been able to snag one for an awesome price because they are so popular, but I am always happy enough to BIN (Buy It Now) and get to keep the clock time that I earned towards free bids.

When you go out and buy coffee, do you like it hot or iced? I am almost ashamed to admit before I moved here I had never had an iced coffee! However, now that I have been living here for so long an iced coffee is part of my daily routine, even in the winter with two feet of snow on the ground.

If you like iced coffee, too, did you know that you can make it at home with your Keurig machine? They have special K-cup pods that are meant to make iced coffee. I believe that they are stronger than regular K-cups, and when you brew them over a glass of ice it makes a delicious and much cheaper version of iced coffee at home. If you’d like to try brewing your iced coffee at home with your Keurig, then you should check out DealDash. They have Keurig coffee machines as well as the K-cup pods to brew, and K-cup stands as well. Doesn’t it feel good to save money?

If you’re a coffee lover like myself, you might be shocked to find out that some people don’t enjoy coffee, hot or iced! For those people, DealDash has a solution – TEA! DealDash has tea kettles as well as some beautiful iron tea sets up for auction. As for myself, I like both, why choose?

No matter if you’re a coffee or tea drinker, DealDash has solutions to fit your likes and lifestyle. Go check out DealDash now to browse the auctions. Visit DealDash at this link here, and see how much you can save. Good luck and happy bidding everyone!
