DealDash Tips Welcomes New Bidders in April

DealDash

DealDash Tips is happy to welcome new bidders that have joined in April. Read on for some tips that you should know as you get started.

Hello new bidders. I’m glad that you decided to join DealDash. DealDash can be a little tricky at first if you have never participated in online auctions before. This article is all about things that you should keep in mind as you’re getting started and learning more about the site.

Be Sure That You Have Bids

If you have joined and already spent the initial bid pack that you purchased, then you’ll need to get more. DealDash frequently has sales and promotions going, and they tend to be different every day. You can find out what the bid price of the day is just by signing in and looking at the banner at the top of the main homepage. You can also see if there are any special promotions going on as well. For example, today is 2X Time As The Highest Bidder (TATHB). Tomorrow it could be the same – or different! You just don’t know until you sign in and check.

DealDash Time As The Highest Bidder

When you are the highest bidder in an auction, you will see that there is a little meter at the bottom of your screen that starts filling up with green. For every second that you are the highest bidder, the meter will begin to fill up. Once you have completely filled the meter you will be able to claim free bids from DealDash! No catch, just a reward for bidding.

When you see a promotion that says 2X, 3X, 4X, or sometimes even 5X, that is a special day! That means that for every second that you are the highest bidder you won’t just get 1 second on your meter, you will get 2, 3, 4, or even 5(!) seconds towards your free bids. Hurray for promotions!! You’ll want to bid on things when DealDash has this special promotion, but watch out, there can be some tough competition on these days as well.

The theme of February 24th’s blog was all about how to keep your head in the game while bidding on DealDash. The top tip of that blog was to minimize distractions when bidding DealDash. Here is a great tip from that blog:

“ It’s important to minimize distractions. Bidding while older children are in school and younger ones are napping can be a great time.”

Remember Your Budget from the February 19th Blog

The blog on February 19th was regarding tips for everyone to keep in mind, in other words, the basics. There were a few excellent tried and true tips in there, but the tip to remember from that blog was to set and stick to a bidding budget. From that blog:

“You’ll need money to buy bids, pay final auction values, and also do any BINs (Buy It Now) that you deem important. Make sure that you stick to your budget, and don’t go over because then you will be short on your bidding budget for the following month.  ”

Happy Birthday DealDash from the February 25th Blog

February 25th’s blog was all about DealDash celebrating their nine year birthday. Theresa wrote about a few different promotions, but the limited wins promo was the most exciting. From the blog:

“With this promotion, bidders can win up to five items per day. This is exciting news as it creates less competition once other bidders reach their limit of five items won each day.”

Go Wild! From the February 26th Blog

February 26th’s blog was filled with some hot DealDash Tips. A helpful suggestion from this article was to go wild and step out of your comfort zone. From the blog:

“Do you ever find yourself stuck in a bit of a rut while you are bidding? Well, maybe it’s time to do some different things. Go bid in a different category, bid on something that you would never have tried to bid on before, or even throw in some bids on a huge bid pack!”

High Dollar and Low Dollar from February 27th’s Blog

February 22nd’s blog was all about the differences in bidding on high or low dollar items on DealDash. Barbara wrote about a few differences, but the big take-away from that article was to pay attention to your budget before bidding. From the blog:

“Bottom line: Before bidding in an auction, we should first look at our budget and number of bids we have, check the retail value of the products, look at the competition and then decide.”

“Bathrobe. DealDash offers a spa-style bathrobe that features a velour exterior and an absorbent terry interior. These bathrobes are up for auction in both white and gray. This is another item that’s great for a man or a woman. They are comfortable, roomy, and extremely high-end.”

Birthday Fun for Everyone from the February 21st Blog

February 21st’s blog was all about birthday items that you could win or BIN. There’s something for everyone on DealDash. You have to think carefully about who you are gifting, though. From the blog:

So think about who you’re surprising. Are they a baby or toddler? A child or teenager? A young adult or middle-aged person? An elderly person? There could be some cross-over gifts, for sure, such as gift cards to restaurants, but for the most part, people from these different stages of life probably would appreciate different types of gifts.

DealDash Tips: Back to Basics

DealDash

With all of the new bidders that we are seeing recently, I thought it would be good to get back to basics. Here are some basic things every DealDash bidder should know.

If you’re a newbie on DealDash, there are certain things that you need to know so that you aren’t at a disadvantage to the other bidders. You might not have heard these tips before if you’ve just joined DealDash. If you aren’t a new bidder, then you have probably heard them before, but there’s no harm in a little refresher course. These tips are important to your DealDash success. Read these tips, keep them in mind, and enjoy your time bidding on DealDash.

Set Up a Bidding Budget

If you plan on being a regular bidder on DealDash, then you need a bidding budget. It’s important that you think carefully about your budget and don’t over-extend yourself. You’ll need money to buy bids, pay final auction values, and also do any BINs (Buy It Now) that you deem important. Make sure that you stick to your budget, and don’t go over because then you will be short on your bidding budget for the following month. You can always adjust your budget if the one you originally chose isn’t working for you.

BIN When You Don’t Win

I mentioned BIN earlier, and if you aren’t familiar with that term, it means “Buy It Now.” If you are bidding in an auction on DealDash and you don’t win, you can purchase the item at retail price and DealDash will give you all the bids back. There is a button in the auction that says “Buy It Now for XXX”, and when you press the button it will take you to the checkout area. After you’ve paid (credit, debit, or PayPal accepted) you will get all of your bids back into your bid bank.

Save Up Your Time As the Highest Bidder (TAHB)

When you’re bidding on a DealDash auction, every time you bid, you are in the lead for about 7 to 9 seconds. This depends on the other bidders, of course, and how soon they bid after you do. You have a bid meter that will slowly but surely fill up as you are the lead bidder in any auction. When this meter is filled up all the way you will receive free bids from DealDash. You will receive them right away, as soon as it’s full.

Sometimes DealDash has a special promotion called a TAHB Multiplier. People love this promo because DealDash gives you two, three, or even four times as much time on your time clock meter! This is a great opportunity to bid on something like a gift card that you don’t mind doing a BIN on. This way you can get a gift card with free shipping that you can use, as well as making great strides in filling up your bid meter.
