DealDash Winners

When shopping on DealDash.com do you ever check out the winners?

We have two choices. We can look at the “Featured Winners” list of all customers who recently got an extra good deal by winning an auction using only one or two bids or we can check out the “View All Winners” list.

Why Look at the Winners List?

Some DealDash players might wonder why I suggest they should check out the winner’s lists.

Actually, various auctions often run in trends. One week several perfumes might frequently sell low. Another week several sets of earrings or rings might frequently sell for bargain prices. This week, it appears that several bid packs have been selling at bargain prices. It often changes, but if we keep our eyes open we might make better choices of what we should place bids on from day-to-day.

Another reason why we should check the “Winner’s List” on a regular basis is to find out the screen names of the DealDash customers who are winning the most auctions. If we see the same screen name listed several times that player must know something we might not yet know. By watching how those winners play we might be able to develop a better strategy and win more auctions, too.

Common Winner Traits

Regardless of what “winners” do – whether they are competing in auctions on this penny-auction site or if they are competing in a sport to win the World Olympics – they all have a few things in common – determination and consistency.

If I write down the screen names of frequent winners on DealDash, I will see those same screen names nearly every time I sign in to do some shopping myself. In other words, frequent winners are also frequent shoppers who consistently sign in to DealDash.

Bottom Line

It always takes time to develop any special skill – including the skill of becoming successful shoppers on DealDash.

We can never win anything or succeed at anything if we never try. Nothing ever happens if we don’t try. We all had to take our first step and face the risk of falling before we learned how to walk. Nearly everything in life is like that.

Success never just happens. We must take that first step to reach our goals. We might not be successful the first time we try something new or different but we often learn more from our failures than we do from our successes.

The most important thing is for us to be determined enough to consistently try and try again. If we do that most of us will eventually reach our goals, and that includes winning auctions on DealDash.

Sometimes I placed bids in the same auction several times before I finally won the product I wanted. Some auctions are simply more popular and have much stiffer competition than others. So the bottom line is to try and try again until we finally win.

Happy shopping everyone!

Two Keys to Winning

I’ve been buying bid packs and shopping on DealDash.com for more than nine years — long enough to know there are two main keys to winning auctions – Common Sense and Strategy.

I believe shoppers who understand and apply these two keys will be able to unlock the doors to winning more auctions at bargain prices.

Some of the lessons I write about I learned the hard way, but once I learned the two keys to winning, however, I did a lot better.

Let’s take a close look at exactly how these two keys work.

1. Common Sense

When shopping on DealDash common sense means we know how to logically process the information we can see to make good bidding decisions.

Let me give you a specific example that I just experienced a few days ago.

DealDash had a one-zipper little clutch purse that I never before saw for auction. I love those mini clutch bags because they can be used in so many different ways – to hold makeup, loose change or IDs and house keys if I just want to carry something light instead of my big, heavy purse. Therefore, I placed a significant number of bids it.

When the bidding got down to the last three or four players, I checked the winner’s list to see if any of my final competitors recently won a large bid pack. This is what I found:

One of the final players recently won two bid packs – one 250 bid pack and one 200 bid pack. Based on that alone I might have thought this player had a lot more bids than me. But then I saw how many bids this shopper used to win his two bid packs. He used 353 bids to win 250 bids and he used 248 bids to win 200 bids. In other words, that shopper paid close to $10 each time to lose more bids than he won.

Of course, I don’t know how many bids that shopper purchased, but this is where common sense comes into play. Based on that information I could conclude that shopper could run out of bids and I might still win the auction. However, common sense also told me something else. This shopper showed a pattern of overbidding to win. That is not the kind of shopper I want to compete with, so common sense told me to cancel the rest of my bids.

2. Strategy

After I canceled my bids and stopped competing in that auction, then what? This is where strategy comes into play.

Strategy means we have a plan on how to win and a backup plan of what to do when we don’t win. Our backup plan could be to BIN (Buy It Now) and get all our bids back. One long-time shopper has a strategy to only place a minimal number of bids at the beginning of each auction, so I know I can outbid that shopper. However, whenever he does win he always wins great bargains, so it’s a strategy that works well for him.

My strategy is to get out of auctions that look like they are too difficult to win and save my bids for another duplicate auction that looks like I can win. That usually means not competing in auctions with more than 30 original bidders and stop competing in auctions that have one or more power bidders and/or one or more shoppers with a pattern of over-bidding.

My next step was to do a search to see if any more of the clutch purses were coming up for auction again. Wow! To my delight, I saw that DealDash has several of these purses in even more beautiful colors. Some auctions sell high and some auctions sell at bargain prices.

If we have the right strategy, we will be there when the auctions sell at bargain prices.

June is month of celebrations

DealDash is offering all kinds of special deals throughout the month. To make room for its new selection DealDash is offering hundreds of clearance auctions. We will also see multiple blasts every day and highest bidder multipliers that might go as high as 5X on the clock. That’s better than anything I’ve seen before.

Inventory Liquidation Week will be from June 7 to June 13 and Splash into Summer will be from June 15 to June 18.

Month of Celebrations

Did you know June was named after Juno, the Roman goddess of childbirth and fertility?

Most of all June is definitely a month of celebrations. In addition to Flag Day June 14 and Father’s Day on June 20, June is also known for many other special recognition days, too.

Other national days of recognition in June are:

  • World Reef Awareness Day
  • National Olive Day
  • National Heimlich Maneuver Day
  • National Go Barefoot Day
  • National Nail Polish Day
  • National Say Something Nice Day
  • National Pen Pal Day and
  • National Hazelnut Cake Day

Which one of those National Recognition Days would you like to celebrate? My favorite one is the “National Say Something Nice Day” because that’s something we could all easily do to make someone’s day better.

I also learned that the flower for June is the rose and the colors for June are light blue, white and cream.

Another unique thing about June is that it has more than one birthstone. Most of us know that the Pearl is the birthstone for June, but the Alexandrite is also a birthstone for June. The Alexandrite is an extremely rare stone and has color-changing abilities. It is green in daylight and changes to a purple-red hue in incandescent or artificial light.

So let’s take advantage of the DealDash specials and enjoy a full month of shopping in June.

Father’s Day Shopping

Did you know it was not until 1972 that Father’s Day became a nationwide holiday in the United States?

The nation’s first Father’s Day, founded by Sonora Smart Dodd, was held the third Sunday of June at the YMCA in Spokane, Washington. Her father, William Jackson Smart, was a Civil War veteran and a single father who raised six children.

This year fathers will be remembered on June 20, so if you want to get an extra nice Father’s Day gift to give to a special father now is the time to shop on DealDash.com. If you shop early, you are more likely to receive the gifts you shop for by June 20.

If you don’t know what to get for your dad you can get some good ideas here.

Below is a list of some auctions that DealDash has to offer that would be sure to make any father especially thrilled to receive. Let’s take a look at some auctions that would make a perfect Father’s Day gift:

  • 129 piece tool set that has a BIN of $450.00. This set might be good to keep in the trunk of a vehicle.
  • 100-foot garden hose with a BIN of $77.00. A long hose like this could reach many nearby plants, trees and shrubs that need watering. It could also be used to wash a car or truck and to spray and clean dirt off from the windows of your house.
  • Several fabulous men’s watches with a BIN of $1,500. Even if your father already has a watch he would be sure to treasure an extra nice one for special occasions.
  • 96 pair of blue and black basketball socks for men with a BIN of $624.00. Wow! That many would keep your father in socks for the rest of his life or be enough to keep a whole team of guys in socks for a while.
  • Massage chair with of BIN of $4,200.00. This would be the ultimate gift what would keep on giving year-after-year. Nothing would feel better after a hard day’s work than relaxing in a deep tissue massage chair. No doubt that would be the perfect solution to remove any and all stress. Most likely a gift like this would help put everybody in the entire family in a better mood, too.
  • Gift Cards for a sports shop or various gift cards for gas stations. With the high cost of gas these days, any man would be sure to welcome a gift card for gas.

Bottom Line

Shopping on DealDash might be the perfect place to shop for a high-quality gift at a bargain price. I’ll see you there!
