Back to the Gym!

We might want to head back to the gym to keep ourselves in shape during  the long winter months ahead. If so it might also be a good time to shop for some workout clothing for both  men and women.

I know many people do not look forward to exercise but we can look forward to shopping for some new gym clothing. DealDash.com is a good place to do it.

Let’s take a look at some good auctions to do just that.

Women’s Plus-Size Leggings (Set of 2)

I found an auction with a BIN of $130 that includes two pair of size 2X blue women’s leggings. They come in a set of 2.

These leggings made out of 80 percent nylon and 20 percent elastane are designed for any workout. The wide, high-rise elastic waist provides a flattering look and they are made to keep us dry and eliminate odors. They also come with a  hip pocket.

Washing instructions are to wash them inside out with like colors without fabric softener. Do not dry clean, iron, bleach or tumble dry.

Only 8 units are left, so we want these leggings we must jump on this auction before they are gone.

Sweatpants for Men (Set of 4)

The bundle of 4 pair of fleece Sweatpants for men have a BIN of  $180 and they come in black and grey. One former winner wrote in his review that these sweatpants made out of 60 percent cotton and 40 percent polyester are cozy and warm.  Another customer wrote that the medium runs more like a small but other comments said they are true to size.

According to the DealDash auction review, “the elastic cuffs and elastic waist keep them where you need them to be.” They come with an adjustable draw-cord, so they are also great to just relax around the house.

Washing instructions say to wash them in cold with like colors on delicate cycle and tumble dry on low.

So far some of the best deals past winners got are:

  • Nov. 4, this auction sold at $2.37 and the winner paid a total of $5.57 including the cost of the 16 bids placed;
  • Oct. 29, this auction sold at 77 cents and the winner paid a total of $2.77 including the cost of the 10 bids placed; and
  • Oct. 21, this auction sold at $3.12 and the winner paid a total of $11.16 including the cost of the 48 bids placed.

Why Exercise

We might not like to exercise, but people who exercise gain many health benefits. According to my research, being physically active can improve our brain health, help manage weight, reduce the risk of disease, strengthen our bones and muscles and improve our ability to do everyday activities. “Adults who sit less and do any amount of moderate-to-vigorous physical activity gain some health benefits.”

In other words, doing regular exercise helps us to enjoy life more and improves the likelihood of living a longer and pain-free life.

So let’s all do some shopping for some new gym clothes and go back to the gym to keep ourselves in good health during the lazy winter months.

I’ll see you in these auctions on DealDash.com.

Gifts for Women

The holidays are quickly approaching and it’s not too early for husbands and single men to start shopping for the special lady in their lives.

I see several jewelry items on DealDash.com that would be sure to please any woman.

Let’s take a look at a few of them.

Gold-Plated Adjustable Cuff Bracelet

It appears that cuff is another word for bracelet.

The gold-plated adjustable cuff has a BIN of only $78 so anyone who does not win it could easily BIN it.

One special feature of this bracelet from an Australian designer is that it can be adjusted to mold to an individual’s wrist. The gold-plated bracelet in a geometric shape looks very attractive and is sure to invite many compliments. In fact, previous winners have given this cuff an overall high rating of 4.96 out of a possible 5.0.

So far, many shoppers have won great bargains on this bracelet, too.

Shopping for Light Fixtures

Does your house still have the same light fixtures it had 30 years ago? If so, perhaps it’s time to update them.

My old light fixtures made it difficult for me to change my light bulbs. As I got older and stopped climbing ladders, I decided to change my light fixtures to make it easier to change burned-out light bulbs. One thing I did was buy chandeliers that hang lower, so I could reach them easily without climbing ladders. At the same time, my new light fixtures gave my home a more modern look at the same time.

DealDash.com has several auctions featuring new, more stylish light fixtures, so this might be a good time to get some good deals on new light fixtures for your house, too, especially when previous winners give a light fixture an overall 5.0 rating out of a possible 5.0.

I found one of these auctions.

Three-Light Chandelier

Previous winners just love this three-light chandelier with a BIN of $510.

According to the auction information, this chandelier is “ideal for small-sized spaces such as a dining area or small kitchen. The length is 21-inches, the width is 17-inches and the height is 62.5-inches.

So far, some of the best deals previous DealDash customers won in this three-light chandelier auction are:

  • Oct. 25, this chandelier sold at 11 cents and the winner paid a total of 63 cents including the cost of the 3 bids placed;
  • Oct. 27, this chandelier sold at 71 cents and the winner paid a total of $1.91 including the cost of the 6 bids placed; and
  • Oct. 14, this chandelier sold at only 14 cents and the winner paid a total of $1.23 including the cost of the 6 bids placed.

We could never find prices like this for a brand new chandelier in any store. Several other shoppers won outstanding deals on this light fixture, too.

Twelve-Light Chandelier

This 12-light chandelier with an amazing cascading glass shade has a BIN of $2,664. This chandelier would definitely add an elegant updated touch to your home.

According to the specifications, this chandelier is 29.5-inches in height and the maximum hanging height is 101.5-inches. The depth is 13-inches and the chain length is 6-feet. This light fixture requires 12 bulbs with 60 watts per bulb. That adds up to a total wattage of 720, and the voltage is 120.

It does not yet have any customer reviews, but according to the auction description, it has some unique features:

  • Designed to cast light in a downward direction
  • Includes 72-inches of chain for a maximum height of 101.5-inches
  • Features an elegant cascading glass shade
  • Fully covered under a one-year limited warranty

Some of the best deals customers won so far are:

Oct. 29, this 12-light $2,664 chandelier sold at only 3 cents and the winner paid a total of 23 cents including the cost of the 1 bid placed;

Oct. 29, this chandelier sold at $1.22 and the winner paid a total of $6.62 including the cost of the 27 bids placed; and

Oct. 27, this chandelier sold at 17 cents and the winner paid a total of 94 cents including the cost of the 4 bids placed.

It would be so exciting to get fantastic deals like this, and DealDash shoppers have the opportunity to do just that. I will be sure to have my eyes on this one, so I’ll see you there!

Amazing Technology

Sometimes when I shop on DealDash.com I look for some new amazing technology.

It’s difficult to keep up with the latest and greatest gadgets that are now available, but I know that DealDash often features items like this. Therefore, this is definitely a good place to shop if we are interested in shopping for high-tech items.

I am especially interested in anything that has to do with photography equipment, so I was excited to see the following item.

Digitizer Converter for 8mm and Super 8 Films

Did you see this digitizer converter for 8mm and Super 8 films? I used to take a lot of 8mm films. I’m glad I never discarded them because now they can be turned into ready-to-view MP4 files with the use of this new gadget. Best of all, even if we are not tech savvy, the extra-large viewing screen makes the entire process simple, quick and easy. We just load the old film onto the universal reel and follow the onscreen prompts. Our old movies will be saved onto any SD/SDHC card. We can also plug it directly into our big-screen TV to playback footage and reminisce about the good old days with other family members.

Who would have ever imagined that we would ever be able to get a digitizer converter for these films? This auction has a BIN of $400 so it might even be within our budget to Buy-It-Now and get all our bids back free if we do not win it. I was happy to see, however, that more auctions are coming up so we will have more opportunities to place bids in this auction.

This digitizer converter would actually make a wonderful birthday, anniversary or Christmas gift, too, so future generations can have a look back into our family history.

Just today, Oct. 20, this digitizer converter sold at $5.82 and the winner paid a total of only $16.02 including the cost of the 51 bids placed.

So far, there are no customer reviews, but we can see more specific information by going to the auction and reading the detailed description.

A Brief History of Super 8mm Film

The 16mm camera came out in 1923. The oldest standard 8mm film was released to the market in 1932.

Most magnetic tapes, 8mm and VHS, have 10 to 20 percent signal loss after 10 to 25 years. In ideal conditions, however, 8mm film lasts around 70 years.

Super 8mm film became popular in 1965, and was officially discontinued by a major company in 1992. However, it was still available through a private manufacturer until 2011.

If anyone wants to preserve old super 8mm movie film, the sooner, the better.

Perhaps all you need is the technology to do it, and by shopping on DealDash we can now get what we need.
