Tips for Things to Never Do on DealDash

DealDash

There are a few things that you should never do on DealDash. Here are a few, from DealDash Tips Blog.

We here at DealDash Tips Blog often tell you things that you should be doing while you are bidding. If you take our advice, it usually makes your bidding experience much better. However, there are also things on DealDash that you shouldn’t be doing. Read this article for more information.

Don’t Bid on Too Many Auctions at Once

I know that it’s exciting to bid in auctions, but you should never “bite off more than you can chew” bidding-wise. If you find yourself bidding on more than a couple auctions at a time, then you should pare them down to just a few. If you are bidding in so many auctions at one time that you find yourself getting confused, it’s not a good situation. You’ll find yourself losing all of them if you aren’t paying attention. Never bid in too many auctions at once. For some people, this might mean to only bid in one auction at a time. For others, this might mean not bidding in more than 5 auctions at a time. It’s all up to you and your personal experience.

Never Get Discouraged on DealDash

I know that sometimes it can feel a little discouraging if you have been bidding in many auctions and aren’t winning any auctions. However, there are lots of other people bidding who want to win, too. Some days just aren’t the best for bidding, and if you feel yourself starting to get discouraged, then you should just stop for the day. Bidding on DealDash should be a fun experience, not a frustrating one. Close up the computer, and try again the next day. You will find yourself enjoying DealDash more, and getting less frustrated if you try again another day.

DealDash Tips – Should I Bid Like This?

DealDash

When you’re a beginner on DealDash, sometimes you might wonder if you’re making mistakes while bidding. Follow these tips, and you won’t have to wonder anymore.

When you’re a beginner on DealDash, it’s easy to get a little flustered and think that maybe you aren’t bidding correctly. Everyone, even seasoned DealDash bidders, make mistakes, but if you read the DealDash Tips Blog you’ll make far less of them. This article is going to point out a few common things that you might find yourself wondering if you’re doing the right thing on DealDash.

Is This a Good Auction to Bid on?

If you’ve only been a DealDash member for a short time, then sometimes you might find yourself wondering which auction that you should bid on. I remember when I started bidding on DealDash I was so confused as to which auction I should bid on. With so many choices on the home page to choose from, it can be a little overwhelming at first.

My advice to you would be to check out the categories first. You can find them in the drop-down menu on the left side of the homepage. From there, you can choose a category you like, then choose your auction. This way you can see if the item you like is offered at more than one time, and what other similar things are available.

Is This a Good Time to Buy Bids?

After you’ve purchased your initial bid pack on DealDash you might wonder when the right time is to “top up” your bids. My answer to that would be – if you see a sale going on that makes the bid price less than .15, it’s a good time to buy bids. Occasionally there will be some “extra special” bid sales, such on holidays, or even special low bid prices for completing a task. This task might be to “Win 5 auctions this week” or “Place a bid in 50 different auctions this week” or…Anything really, you never know what DealDash is going to come up with next. That’s one of the things that makes DealDash so fun and exciting.

Why Am I Not Winning?

If you just started on DealDash and haven’t won an auction yet, or you’ve only won a couple, there could be a few different reasons. Here are a few ideas:

  • You’re not placing enough bids. If you are only placing a few bids in an auction and then moving on to the next one, that could be a big reason. If you see an auction that you really want to win, you should place more than a couple bids on it if you want to be triumphant.
  • You’re not watching the auctions before you bid. Watching the auctions before you bid in them is a really good thing to boost your chances of winning.

Remember, if you don’t win an auction you can always BIN it. BIN means Buy It Now, if you purchase an item that you were bidding on then DealDash will refund all of the bids that you placed in that auction. It’s a WIN-BIN situation!

Read on for a recap of the best tips from last week, from the DealDash Tips Blog.

Don’t Bid Right Away from the March 31st Blog

The theme of the March 31st blog was all about observing your competition on DealDash. The top tip of that blog was to be sure to stop and observe the auction before you jump right in bidding. You never know what’s going to happen in a DealDash auction, but you can save yourself some bids if you do a little observation first. Here is a great tip from that blog:

“ This way you can get a feel for how long people typically stay in an auction, how many people stop bidding by $1 or $2 or $5, and also start to get familiar with some people’s screen names.”

Remember, watching the auctions doesn’t cost you anything, and can save you some money and bids in the long run.

 from the March 25th Blog

The blog on March 25th was all about the different bundles available on DealDash. There are tons of different ones for all different types of people. From that blog written by Theresa:

“Don’t forget to check out new bundles and view them all by browsing categories (just under the banner on the main page) and choosing Bundles from the dropdown menu. ”

Treat Yourself! From the April 2nd Blog

April 2nd’s blog was all about treating yourself to something nice on DealDash. There are lots of ways to treat yourself. Here is a quick list from the blog:

  • Art – If you like paintings or sculptures, DealDash has you covered when it comes to art
  • Fountains – Fountains are not only beautiful but relaxing as well
  • Clocks – The clocks that DealDash offer are like pieces of art – yet useful as well

Choose the Right Sleeping Bag from the April 4th Blog

April 4th’s blog was filled with some ideas on freshening up your camping gear with auctions on DealDash. It’s important to get the correct sleeping bag for the weather you’re camping in. From the blog:

“This Coleman cool weather sleeping bag is made for camping temperatures between 30 and 50 degrees, which is perfect for a chilly (but not too cold) Spring overnight. If you would prefer something that can handle even colder weather, DealDash has those, too. Just click on this link here and you can check out the sleeping bags on DealDash.”

Pros & Cons of Exchanging for Bids from the April 5th Blog

The April 5th DealDash Tips article was all about the pros and cons of exchanging your wins for bids. There were many good points in this blog that was written by Barbara, but the takeaway of this blog for me was this:

“If I win a product that rarely goes up for auction, I most likely would not want to exchange it for bids.”

There are certain items on DealDash that just don’t come around too often – the one that sticks out in my mind is the LitterMaid automatic cat box. It comes up occasionally, but not often enough that I would ever think about exchanging it for bids if I was to win. Other things, like earrings, come up multiple times per day, and I have often exchanged them for bids.

DealDash Tips to Scope Out the Competition

dealdash

There are lots of reasons that you want to scope out the competition on DealDash. Here are some ways that you can accomplish that with some tips from DealDash.

Why would you want to examine the competition on DealDash? Many reasons! For starters, if you can recognize when people typically bow out of auctions it could be very helpful for you. It is also helpful to know who truly is “in it to win it or BIN it” or if they really only spend 20-50 bids before giving up and moving on. These are only a few of the reasons why it’s helpful to learn about your competition. Read on for some tips and tricks on how to effectively scope out the competition on DealDash.

Don’t Bid – Just Observe – for Now

If you’re a newer bidder on DealDash and haven’t spent hundreds of hours watching auctions on your screen, then you might want to start by just watching auctions before you bid. This way you can get a feel for how long people typically stay in an auction, how many people stop bidding by $1 or $2 or $5, and also start to get familiar with some people’s screen names. This can be very handy information to know for the next time you are interested in participating in a similar auction.

 Check Out the Winners

If you go to the main DealDash homepage and look at the top navigation bar you will see a tab called “Winners”. This tab has information on some of the most recent featured auctions that have closed within the past 24 hours on DealDash. If you click this tab you can see:

  • The item
  • It’s title
  • The winner’s name and their avatar
  • How much it sold for
  • How many bids the winner placed
  • What the estimated cost was for the winner
  • What the BIN (Buy It Now) price is
  • How long ago the auction closed

All of this information is extremely helpful when you are scoping out the competition. It’s good to check the Winner’s Tab every time you sign-in to DealDash to see what’s being won and for what price.

 Make Notes

When you are scoping out the competition on DealDash, it would behoove you to make notes as you go along. There are so many different items and bidders on DealDash that it can be a little tricky to keep things straight after a while. This is especially true because so many people have similar bidding names – are you really going to remember if it was iLIKEtoWIN12 or LuvTOwin26 that bids until they reach the BIN price? You can make your notes on your “notepad” app on your computer, you could write it into an email that you send yourself, or you can even just use a plain old piece of paper and a pen. It’s up to you.
